One suggestion which has been put forth is to alter the timing in automation which will override the midi's speed. Seems interesting, must now read up on automation. Anyone know that procedure and think it'll work?

Thanks Kings. Slicer seems like the go, Sound of the toms is ok but speed at which it runs doesn't co-ordinate. As there are thousands of good midi fills out there I would pressume this speed mis-match must crop up all the time?? Thks Beebs.

Can I ask any advice on what I can do to change the tempo of a midi drum filll once it's imported into the piano roll. It seems to have originally been made at speed 100 whereas the rest of the song I'm putting together is 85 bmp. How would I permanently change it to 85?

Thanks David, you nailed it - the 'Snap' it was. Presumably that's how one would line up a .wav file that's been imported by those 1/6 1/4 etc increments ? Rgds Beebs.

Hope this is posting is to the right area as it's my first.
May I say this is such an excellent tutorial. I have learned so much in such a short time and it's greatly appreciated - thank you ! My query is as follows if anyone can shed light on this:
1. I have been using the brush to drop the patterns into the playlist. How do you line them up properly to begin at the start of the bar. The slightest movement of the brush makes them start early or late of the bar.
2. Similarly having read your audio clips tutorial, how does one line up (synchronize?) the start of the audio clip apart from wobling around the paintbrush. Imported audio clips probably don't begin right on the beat I guess. All help appreciated. Thanks Beebs.
